Not too long ago we pulled up the street car tracks, and changed to buses for several reasons. Our metro area is sprawled out. Tracks are inflexible. Buses and cars and trucks are flexible.
Will much better, much more flexible means of transportation be available in 10 or 20 years? My guess is yes.
Times are changing, quickly. Trains may take so long to build that they'll be outdated by the time all the tracks are laid.
Let's focus our priority on people and health care in 2007. HEALTH CARE FIRST! Roads can be fixed with expanded lanes....for emergency use and for buses and for car pools. We'll think of something, we always do...we're American, we're successful and blessed. I'm immensely grateful.
