Marriage is non-partisan. Republicans marry Democrats and vice versa...I hear. Around the world there are rules for marriage in every religion, tribe and nation-- even where Republicans and Democrats don't exist. Somehow, through the intricacies of political correctness and the idiocy of peer pressure at the Capitol, the traditional marriage amendment has been labeled as the 'anti-gay marriage' act. Now marriage is a hate crime-- punishable by diatribe? Say it firmly, say it often, repeat it again and again...marriage is between a man and a woman--just the facts of life. Two same gender friends might do many things together, but having a child is not one of them.
Remarkably when you see a child you just know there were parents ---duh--- and these parents are ALWAYS one male parent and one female parent---and hopefully they were married and stay that way for the good of all concerned. Divorce is too prevalent, too expensive and very destructive. If we put as much effort into our marriages as we do in getting divorced I think there would be benefits for all of us. Married people live longer ...no, it doesn't just seem longer!
Facts are stubborn --look at the facts and protect marriage between one woman and one man---yep, just one of each works best and "for the common good"---so you see I know and use those politically correct phrases--cautiously.
